Three ways to measure at home
The string or floss method. Wrap a piece of string, thread, or dental floss snugly around the base of your finger (where the ring will sit), then mark or pinch the point where it overlaps. Lay the string flat and measure the length in millimeters with a ruler — that's your circumference. Match it to the chart above to find your size.
The existing ring method. Grab a ring that already fits the intended finger well. Lay it on a ruler and measure the inner diameter — edge to edge, straight across the center — in millimeters. Compare that number to the "Diameter" column in the chart. If you'd rather not eyeball it, printable ring sizers (a sheet of circles you can set the ring on top of) work well too, as long as the page is printed at 100% scale with no "fit to page" scaling.
The paper strip method. No string on hand? Cut a thin strip of paper, wrap it around the base of your finger, and mark where it overlaps — then measure it flat the same way as the string method.
A few tips for the most accurate fit
Measure at the end of the day, when your hands tend to run slightly larger, and avoid measuring right after exercising or in very cold weather, since finger size can shift a little. It's a good idea to measure two or three times to make sure you're getting a consistent number, and if you're between sizes, sizing up slightly is usually more comfortable — especially for wider bands, which tend to fit more snugly than thin ones.
